Pat Slattery has been in the auction and valuation industry for 40 years. He began in the Valuer Generals Department, from there went to a country stock & station agent where he gained invaluable knowledge on customer service and work ethics. Pat was with Pickles Auctions for 17 years and began with that company when it had only 2 staff members. In that 17 years the company built to a huge staff and turnover and Pat was made a Director and helped enormously in the meteoric growth of the company. Pat has been involved in several major projects around Australia and was later sent overseas to England where a lot more experience was earned in starting a business. Newcastle and the Hunter appealed to Pat as a major and vibrant industrial centre so returned and began his own business after 5 years with Gamers Auctions General Division. Now that 10 years has passed, Slattery's Auctions Australia has become a major auction house selling for Westpac, Macquarie Bank, Department of Defence, BIS Industries (formerly Brambles), many local government bodies and energy companies such as Energy Australia and Country Energy. The client base that Slattery's have are serviced in a professional and personal manner and Pat oversees most aspects of the business with continuing to do the auctions and visiting his major clients on a regular basis. Pat is very good at "problem solving" for his clients which have seen him value and sell corporate jets, helicopters, boats, earthmoving equipment and generally high end items. Slattery Auctions Australia are continuing to grow by their reputation and results and Pat makes sure his staff, clients and contractors are kept happy by returns, results and being fair minded.
