Yes, all our auctions are public however you will need to register before you can bid. If you want to bid at any of our auction rooms, you will need to attend any of our offices with a current driver’s licence, passport or dealer number. If you wish to register online you need to go to www.slatteryauctions.com click on the register now button and follow the prompts. You will need to have a current credit card for security purposes, no costs will be charged to your credit card for registering. No, registration is FREE. Once you have registered and your lot comes up and you want to submit your bid, raise your hand with your buyer registration card. Please see the dedicated section on internet bidding below. In this situation you can do a phone bid or an absentee bid please contact the office where the auction is located to register to bid by phone. You will need to keep checking our website as to when the item is in Auction. Alternatively you can go to our website and register for alerts, we will send you a weekly email of our upcoming auctions. In most auctions we start with lot 1 and continue through until all lots have been sold please check the auction description for the start time of that particular auction. It takes approx. 30 sec – 1 minute per lot, there is no set time on when a lot will come under the hammer. If you were the successful bidder at the Auction you are bound to pay and collect the item(s) as per our terms conditions signed on your bidder card and displayed on our website. If, however, you are the successful bidder on an item that was referred (this means that the item did not achieve the required reserve) you are not bound to the sale. You will need to wait until the Auction is totally concluded. You will know if you are successful via phone call from the Auctioneer within 24 hours. If you wish to have the invoice changed from a personal name to a company name, you will need to provide the company name and ABN. If you wish to change the invoice into another person’s name, you will need to make payment in full and provide the other person’s driver’s licence.

All lots have a buyer’s premium on top of the final hammer price (this is the final price stated by the auctioneer), these vary depending on the auction and lot. The buyer’s premium is listed in the Auction description on our website www.slatteryauctions.com. If you pay by credit card there is also a 2% charge Yes, the hammer price and buyer’s premium is inclusive of GST. Yes, you need to leave a 10% deposit with a minimum of $500, whichever is greater before leaving the Auction. You can pay by cash, bank cheque (we do not accept business or personal cheques unless expressly authorized by the Auctioneer or a member of Slattery Auctions Management), credit card (2% fee applies) or bank transfer. If you are paying by transfer the funds need to clear our account before item(s) can be collected. Some transfers can take up to 3 working days. You should have a pre-approval prior to bidding at any auction. Once you have been successful on your lot you need to forward this invoice to your finance company to arrange payment, if they require a more detailed invoice you need to contact the Auctions Administration Co-Ordinator or Auctioneer. At most auctions the full payment and pick up of items is required by 4pm the day after the auction. Full details are on our website in the auction detail and in the auction brochure.
Yes, but you will need to obtain a permit to drive the vehicle. In Victoria contact Vic Roads. In Queensland you need to obtain from Queensland Transport and in NSW you need to obtain from Roads & Maritime Services. No, you would need to contact Vic Roads for vehicles purchased in Victoria. In Queensland contact Queensland Transport and in NSW contact Roads & Maritime Services No, you need to obtain and your own roadworthy and transfer the vehicle into your name no later than 7 days after the auction. Not all cars have current registration. To confirm if the vehicle has registration in Victoria go to www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/registration enter registration number or VIN. In NSW go to www.myrta.com enter registration number. Queensland vehicles are sold without registration. Yes, you need to transfer the vehicles registration within 7 days of purchasing from Auction. Yes, we guarantee clear title within 7-10 workings days from auction upon full payment received by the buyer.
There are some items available to purchase outside of our auctions please see our “Buy Now” and “Tenders” sections on the website Yes, most of the items in our auctions have a reserve. We don’t provide reserve prices but should you wish to obtain a guide of the price, please contact the numbers provider within the auction description. We don’t provide auction results as this is sensitive information and in many cases may be linked to insolvency cases or liquidation.
